With the largest female freshman class in the nation, Texas A&M University has many promising future engineers. Women in Engineering (WE) brings together communities of women for the support and development of undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty. Women in Engineering incorporates inclusive practices throughout the TAMU College of Engineering to elicit meaningful and lasting changes in the engineering culture and workplace.

This month’s speaker, Shawna Fletcher, PhD ITDE ‘22, MS BME is Director of the Women in Engineering Program in the Texas A&M College of Engineering.
Dr. Fletcher has spent over two decades advancing the WE vision of inclusion – developing practical tools to engage women in non-traditional careers, promoting women in leadership, and engaging strategies to embed inclusive practices within organizations.

And they build cool robots named WHOOP!
